Dream BIG

1 Comment blog from me to you

Many of us have huge, great, big dreams, dreams to help people, to inspire people and to change the world! And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!

My motto is #ImAVessel. And this basically means that throughout my life, all the gifts, talents and ability God has given me I will use for him and for the bettering of others. I believe that it’s the least I can do – as a christian, and as my way of saying thank you to God not only for the gifts, but for life and for what he accomplished on Calvary – it’s one of the ways I tell him I love him.

Now in all our big dreaming we must not forget that God is all knowing and all powerful and he knows what is best for us – (Jeremiah 18). When dreaming big for God let us acknowledge him and put him first in all we do, so we can do major things for him and he can touch many through us.

This leads me onto our golden text for todays #MondayMessage:
Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight

This passage reminds us that even though we have great ideas and plans of our own we should “trust in the Lord” with ALL our heart and lean not on our own understanding. That basically means that God knows in every situation that best path to take. Verse 6 tells us, that in the midst of our big dreaming and planning for the future, we should acknowledge God (pray for God’s guidance and hand to be upon what we do), and he will go before us and set everything in place, helping us to reach our goals. Amen.

Another passage I wanna look at is Psalm 118:6 which says “the LORD is on my side; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

This passage reassures us that in all our big dreaming and big living for God we should not be afraid – of peoples opinions, threats, peer pressure or whatever is holding you back because God is on YOUR side! What can man do to you when GOD is with you?!

When we live in the reality of heaven, earthly things cannot affect us! ‘Cos we know that God is in control! And when we know that if God is at the forefront of all we do and say, he will be with us and we cannot fail!

Okay.. so now what?

Now in school we learn subjects for years and years and one day towards the end of our school days we are tested. And sadly, hardly ever do we come across a test that gives you the opportunity to spell a word out or say a straight textbook answer, this is because the examiner is always trying to get us to ‘apply our knowledge’. I believe it is the same with Life, life may throw challenges or temptations at you but you can’t expect God to show up there in the flesh and beat your battle for you, you have to – in that moment – remember all that God has put in your heart and apply faith in God to get you through the test.

Please feel free to use the comment box below to tell us how God is helping you, suggest a topic for the next #MondayMessage or simply leave feedback.
